Carlo Ancelotti is believed to have been offered €12M per year to take charge of Paris Saint-Germain.
The French giants are negotiating to pay off Antoine Kombouare, despite the tactician leading PSG to the top of Ligue 1.
Ancelotti is PSG’s favoured successor and a deal looks almost done and dusted, especially given the sums that the capital club are willing to pay.
Such a salary would give the former Chelsea manager parity with Josep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, at Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.
Ancelotti would be comfortably the highest earner in Ligue 1, far outstripping the €3M Didier Deschamps is paid at Marseille.
The Italian will be charged with winning the French title this season and then making a splash in the Champions League.
