Schalke striker Jefferson Farfan looks set to be at the centre of a transfer tussle between a trio of Russian Premier League clubs.
The Peru international’s contract at the Ruhr giants is due to expire at the end of the season and though both sides have, at times, made noises about extending it, nothing has as yet been signed.
Schalke do not want to lose the pacey striker for nothing in the summer and will therefore deal at the right price next month.
And the 27-year-old is not short of suitors, especially from Russia.
Chasing the former PSV Eindhoven man are Anzhi Makhachkala, Rubin Kazan and Dynamo Moscow.
Farfan is known to fancy a new challenge and a move to any one of the Russian trio would surely present the striker with exactly that.
