Dijon have confirmed that they have found an agreement with Gael Kakuta to take the player from Chelsea, leaving only the green light from Andre Villas-Boas needed.
The Ligue 1 outfit are expected to take the winger-cum-forward on loan from the Blues until the end of the season.
Kakuta has spent the first half of the campaign at Bolton Wanderers, though found playing time difficult to come by under Owen Coyle, despite the Reebok Stadium outfit struggling towards the foot of the Premier League.
Dijon however are determined to hand Kakuta the first team football he believes he needs.
"We have a verbal agreement with the player, although there is nothing official", said Dijon coach Patrice Carteron to Le Bien Public.
The coach also revealed that his side had taken their time before deciding to approach Kakuta, concluding that he is full of talent.
"We don’t want to just sign players casually.
"Kakuta is a diamond in the rough."
