Bayern Munich are ready to keep hold of Croatian international Danijel Pranjic despite the player being keen to leave the Allianz Arena.

Pranjic has hardly featured for Bayern Munich this season and it had been speculated that he could be sold in the January transfer window – especially as his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

But the Bavarians are not willing to sell, even if that means the 30-year-old will walk away for nothing in the summer.

"I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I will not leave this winter", said Pranjic.

"The club have informed me that they are not making any changes to the squad."

Pranjic joined Bayern Munich in 2009 after a successful spell with Dutch Eredivisie outfit Heerenveen.

His time in southern Germany however has been less than impressive, although the 30-year-old does have a Bundesliga and German Cup winners medal to show for his efforts.
