Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has insisted that signing Eden Hazard from Lille is not one of his transfer priorities.

The Belgian’s agent had suggested that the talk in France was of a €30M bid for Hazard being placed on the table by the Citizens – but this is simply not true according to Mancini.

Indeed, with Yaya Toure set to head to the African Cup of Nations in January, Mancini has targeted Roma enforcer Daniele De Rossi, rather than another attacking player.

"No, this is not true", said Mancini when asked about a speculated offer for Hazard.

"He is a good player", added the Italian, "but we have not talked to him for the moment."

The current season is expected to be Hazard’s last with Lille.
