Arsenal and Manchester United are set to be disappointed in their pursuit of Barcelona talent Isaac Cuenca.

The 20-year-old has made an impression at the Camp Nou and all the signs point towards a very big future in the game for the winger-cum-forward.

There had been much speculation that Cuenca could fancy a switch to the Premier League, after watching former team-mate Oriol Romeu enjoy regular first team football with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and he failed to quickly pen a new deal at the European champions.

Despite Cuenca being highly regarded by Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola, the youngster still faces a fight for time on the pitch at the Camp Nou.

It is one he is ready for however, and the Spaniard has moved to quash talk of an exit, despite negotiations over a new contract with the Catalans stalling.

"In my head I’m with Barcelona and I want to renew my contract", Cuenca told COM Radio.

"I want to play in the first team, for me that’s more than just a present for Christmas, it’s a present for life", the starlet added.
