Inter could gazump AC Milan’s bid for Carlos Tevez.

The out-of-favour Manchester City striker is desperately looking for the exit door at Eastlands and Roberto Mancini’s club equally desire to part ways with the Argentine.

Tevez’ preferred destination, AC Milan, have made City an offer; the Rossoneri are keen to take Tevez on loan for the rest of the season and then decide on a potential €24M move.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter president Massimo Moratti recently called Mancini to inform the City boss that the Nerazzurri would match Milan’s loan offer, but instead pay €25M to make the move permanent – €1M more than the Rossoneri.

Tevez has already agreed personal terms with Milan and is happy to move to the San Siro; how the former Manchester United striker might react to the prospect of joining Inter is unclear.

Milan have invested much time and effort in the transfer, even going so far as to abandon a potential deal for Catania forward Maxi Lopez.
