Manchester United striker Federico Macheda has joined Queens Park Rangers on loan until the end of the season.
The Italian hitman is keen for regular first team football to boost his development and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has given the green light to a move to Loftus Road.
The arrival of Macheda has been welcomed by QPR manger Neil Warnock, who feels the 20-year-old will be a big asset.
"This is a great opportunity for both parties", said Warnock to QPR’s official site.
"He is positive, always in and around the box and can finish too", added the former Sheffield United manager.
"If we can get him the ball in the right areas, I am sure he will get us a few goals."
Macheda spent time on loan last season at Italian outfit Sampdoria.
