Arsenal are keen on Lille striker Moussa Sow.
The 25-year-old has long been an interesting prospect for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and sources in France have revealed that the 62-year-old is ready to step up his interest.
Sow has previously admitted that moving to Arsenal would be a dream come true and issued a come-and-get-me plea to Wenger in the summer transfer window.
While the Gunners are snapping up former star Thierry Henry on a two-month loan deal, the New York Red Bulls hitman is only a short-term solution.
Marouane Chamakh is expected to leave the Emirates Stadium in the summer and Wenger is determined to ensure Robin van Persie has sufficient support and cover for the 2012/13 campaign.
And signing Sow from Lille would go a long way towards completing that aim.
Sow top scored in Ligue 1 last season as Lille won the title under Rudi Garcia and despite not being as prolific in the current campaign – the Senegal man has found the back of the net six times so far – the striker is still looking a dangerous prospect.
