Despite needing to balance the books this January, French giants Lyon are still plotting a number of transfer swoops.
Occupying minds at the Stade Gerland are Fenerbahce midfielder Miroslav Stoch and CSKA Moscow striker Vagner Love.
Lyon are keen to answer the growing power of Paris Saint-Germain and coach Remi Garde would dearly love to be able to call upon the pair for the second half of the campaign.
However, Lyon will need to generate cash and the talk is that this could be done by selling playmaker Yoann Gourcuff.
The French schemer has taken his time to get going this season, following a pre-season disrupted by injury; but his stock remains high and the likes of Arsenal continue to monitor his situation with Les Gones.
Stoch has featured only sporadically since joining Fenerbahce and despite being under contract until 2014, Lyon expect the Istanbul giants to deal for the right price.
Love meanwhile has been told that he can leave CSKA Moscow if an acceptable offer arrives. The Brazilian striker recently made noises over wanting to return to his homeland, though concrete interest from Lyon may make him reconsider that desire.
Nevertheless, Les Gones need to generate cash to cover their shortfall and then make money available for boss Garde.
And Gourcuff, along with Aly Cissokho, remain the most likely departures.
