Serie A club Catania have confirmed they have received an offer from English side Fulham for striker Maxi Lopez.
Fulham boss Martin Jol is keen to bring in another forward in the current transfer window and has made a move to snap up Lopez before competition for the player’s signature hots up.
Most recently the Argentine was linked with AC Milan, although Catania have confirmed they do not feel duty bound to deal with the Rossoneri as the Italian champions continue to hold out for Carlos Tevez.
"On Maxi Lopez there are not any developments yet, but an offer has been received from Fulham and we’re looking at it", Catania CEO Pietro Lo Monaco told Radio Mana Mana.
"We are waiting to see what the Italian clubs will do.
"AC Milan are definitely out, while we will see what happens with Fiorentina.
"Lazio? I am not sure they need Maxi."
