Flamengo have confirmed that they are very keen to bring Vagner Love back to the club.
The striker currently plays for Russian Premier League outfit CSKA Moscow, but the side have told the 27-year-old that he can leave if he can find a club willing to pay a reasonable amount for his services.
Love has played for Flamengo before, enjoying a loan spell with the team in 2010 and making a positive impression.
Now Flamengo are keen to see him reprise his stint and have sent an offer of €6M to the Russian capital.
"We are very optimistic about the outcome of negotiations", said Michel Levy, the deputy financial officer of Flamengo.
It was also confirmed that the bid was sent to CSKA Moscow on 29th December – but no response has yet been received.
