Manchester United defender Phil Jones has revealed he is loving life at Old Trafford and believes that he is in with a chance of finishing the season as a Premier League champion.
Jones has seen the games come thick and fast for the Red Devils over the festive period and tonight Sir Alex Ferguson takes his side to face Newcastle United.
For Jones there can be no complaints over the hectic fixture schedule however, as every other Premier League side is in the same boat.
"These periods are all getting bigger", said the defender to his club’s official site.
"No one is complaining. Everyone has a little bit of a moan about how many games there are around Christmas, but the beauty of it is that everyone is in the same position.
"We just have to get on with it. It’s about how we manage and cope with injuries. We’ve been a bit unfortunate but are still up there fighting with the best."
The defender also confirmed he is relishing his time at Old Trafford and thoroughly enjoying being part of a team that is challenging for the title.
"I am excited and I am loving it.
"It was a nice feeling to get out of trouble with Blackburn on the last day of the season, but it’s even nicer knowing you are at the top of the table with a fantastic chance of winning the English title."
