Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia is desperate to join Serie A giants Fiorentina, the player’s agent has confirmed.

La Viola, along with Arsenal and Manchester United, were confirmed as tracking the pass-master by Biglia’s agent Enzo Montepaone just before Christmas.

But it is Fiorentina who look to be in pole position for the Anderlecht schemer, with Biglia already thinking of himself in a purple shirt and competing in the Italian top flight.

"He would do anything to wear the shirt of La Viola", Montepaone commented.

"Italian football is one of his important goals.

"But what Lucas dreams of is wearing the shirt of Fio[rentina].".

Anderlecht have been keen to keep hold of Biglia in the current transfer window and are opposed to losing a key player midway through the season.

However, it is believed that an offer or around €8M may tempt the Belgian giants into reconsidering that stance.
