Inter have comprehensively ruled out any suggestion that Wesley Sneijder could be included in a package to take Carlos Tevez to the San Siro.
The Nerazzurri admit speaking with the Citizens about Tevez, a player they would like to pip their bitter rivals AC Milan to the signature of.
Inter are thought to have matched Milan’s loan offer, but indicated the permanent deal for Tevez would net City €1M more if he joined Claudio Ranieri’s men.
But Sneijder, who has again been linked with an exit from Inter in the current transfer window, despite his statement that he is 90% likely to remain at the club, has not been mentioned to City.
"During the discussions we held in London with representatives of Manchester City, none of it was ever about Wesley", said Inter technical director Marco Branca.
Inter remain hopeful on Tevez, although Milan are thought to continue to be the player’s preferred destination.
