Inter are keen to discuss snapping up Chelsea’s Florent Malouda and are scheduling a meeting to do just that.
Sources in Italy confirmed that the Blues had recently indicated to the Nerazzurri that Malouda is available, though Inter have taken their time over deciding whether to act.
Now it seems that the Serie A side’s technical director Marco Branca is planning a trip to England next week to meet with Chelsea officials – and the 31-year-old winger will be on the agenda.
Inter believe their attacking play in the second half of the season could do with a boost and fancy Malouda to provide it.
The former Lyon man has struggled to cement a spot in Andre Villas-Boas’ starting eleven at Stamford Bridge this year, with Juan Mata shining following his summer move from Valencia, while Englishman Daniel Sturridge is also favoured by Chelsea’s Portuguese manager.
Whether Malouda is ready to move to Inter remains to be seen, but the prospect of first team football at one of Europe’s biggest clubs should tempt the Frenchman.
