Inter coach Claudio Ranieri is keen on launching a swoop for Manchester City left back Aleksandar Kolarov.

Ranieri has revitalised the Nerazzurri since taking over from Gian Piero Gasperini last year.

But despite leading Inter up the Serie A standings, with even a late title surge possible, the former Chelsea manager believes a number of fresh faces are needed at the San Siro.

And to this end, Ranieri is targeting Kolarov, a player with Serie A experience from a spell with Lazio between 2007 and 2010.

Snapping up the Serbian international from the Citizens will prove a tough task however, with both player and club not yet ready to part ways.

Though Kolarov has featured less for Roberto Mancini’s men this season than last, the Serbian is understood to want to fight for his spot at Eastlands.

Should that view change however, then Ranieri will instantly launch a move to take him back to Italy.
