Liverpool have taken 18-year-old Ghana midfielder Mumuni Abubakar on a two-week trial, and agent Oliver Arthur is certain the starlet will not quickly return to Africa.
Abubakar was spotted by Reds scouts in November in Italy when turning out for New Edubiase United in a friendly against Parma.
Liverpool were impressed and the Ghana Under-20 international was quickly invited to Merseyside for a trial.
Abubakar was recently named the Sports Writers’ Association’s Ghana Premier League Player of the Year for his performances last year in the country’s domestic league and is tipped for big things.
And agent Arthur is confident the youngster will make quite an impression.
"Liverpool will assess him for 10 days and then take a decision, but I am confident he won’t be coming back to Ghana.
"He is a promising player and I wish him all the best."
