West Ham United have fixed their eyes on Evian striker Yannick Sagbo.
The 23-year-old, who has been something of a surprise package in Ligue 1 so far this season with six goals to his name, was recently scouted by West Ham in Evian’s French Cup clash against Metz.
News of the Hammers’ interest and a potential move to Upton Park has reached Sagbo’s ears too, though the player himself is playing it cool.
"Joining West Ham would be ideal for me", admitted the Ivory Coast international.
"But if nothing happens then I’m happy where I am", added Sagbo.
"But I would like to have the opportunity to play in England at some point in my career."
Sagbo is under contract with Evian until 2013.
