Following the news that an unnamed English Premier League club have slapped in an offer of €42M for Real Madid winger Angel di Maria, Los Blancos have dismissed suggestions that the Argentine could be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu.
While manager Jose Mourinho has been clear that he wishes no players to come or go in the winter window, it has been speculated that Real Madrid could cash in on Di Maria in the summer.
And €42M is a sizeable offer.
But this is absolutely not the case according to Real Madrid sporting director Miguel Pardeza, who has stressed that the winger is an important part of the team.
"Di Maria has the love an appreciation of the club", said Pardeza.
"We are proud to receive offers because it means that we bought well and the player is performing well."
