Inter beat AC Milan 1-0 through a goal from Diego Milito yesterday and coach Claudio Ranieri was delighted to win the Milan derby.
The victory was the Nerazzurri’s sixth on the bounce and that is a run that has transformed their season and now sees the 2010 Champions League winners back in the title chase – now Inter are just five points behind second-placed Milan and six off top team Juventus.
And Ranieri was quick to hail the win, explaining his men are full of confidence.
"We’re taking huge strides forward", said the former Parma coach post-match.
"It was important to beat Milan, it gives us great confidence."
Next up for Inter is another huge test as fourth-placed Lazio visit the San Siro.
