Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has praised his team-mate and rival for the club’s number 1 shirt, David de Gea.
The former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper has made a number of blunders so far this season as he adapts to life in the English Premier League, but Lindegaard still believes De Gea is world class and sees this talent every day in training.
"He has extraordinary attributes, extremely explosive and powerful", said the Dane.
"He is only 21.
"His potential is massive and there is no doubt he will be United’s best goalkeeper at some point."
Lindegaard though also stressed that his own job is to keep De Gea on the bench and to stop his ascent to the number 1 shirt, a task he is working hard at.
"My job is to make sure it [De Gea becoming number 1] is not until I have retired, which is in ten years."
