Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has ruled out leaving the club in the current transfer window.

The Ivory Coast hitman’s contract at Stamford Bridge is due to run out in the summer and he has thus far resisted attempts by the Blues to tie him to an extended deal.

A number of clubs are keen on Drogba, but Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua have made all the running, with a big money offer having already been placed on the table.

The Blue Devil remain sure they will get their man, but speculation that could happen as soon as this month has been quashed by Drogba himself.

“I would like to experience fun, passion, fervour, pressure and expectation on the pitch once again”, said the striker to France Football.

“These things are what make our job fun and I’ve missed that a little in the last few months.

“Does this mean I’ll leave Chelsea? Not before next June.”
