Fiorentina have snapped up Brazilian-Italian striker Amauri from Juventus.

The 31-year-old was close to leaving Turin in the summer transfer window, but pulled out of a planned switch to Marseille at the last minute.

His fortunes have not improved during the last six months however and Amauri was desperate to leave Juventus in search of regular first team football.

And that chance has been handed to him by La Viola, who have paid Juventus €500,000 for the player’s services.

Amauri has won one cap for Italy despite being born in Brazil.
