It would cost Real Madrid a whopping €20M to sack Jose Mourinho in the summer.
The Portuguese tactician has been at the centre of much controversy recently, with speculation of a split in the camp between player and coach – Mourinho was also reported to have had a frank exchange of views with Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas, during which the defender blasted the Real Madrid boss for his lack of a playing career.
And it has since been claimed that both club and coach are considering parting ways in the summer.
And with Real Madrid sitting on top of La Liga, bowing out with the Spanish title could be the perfect way for Mourinho to cap off his Bernabeu stay.
If it is Real Madrid who wish to end the relationship though, a payment of €20M would be needed.
Mourinho is under contract with the Spanish giants until 2014.
