Equatorial Guinea have reached the quarter-finals of the 2012 African Cup of Nations by managing to beat heavily fancied Senegal.

The National Lightening took the lead against Senegal, but when the 2002 World Cup quarter-finalists struck back through Moussa Sow with just a minute left, the game looked up for Gilson Paulo’s men.

But up popped Kily, with a sublime 25-yard effort in the 94th minute to hand the co-hosts victory and a passage through to the last eight.

In the same group, Zambia must now try to avoid defeat against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday to take Group A’s other qualifying berth.

However, if Zambia lose, Libya can go through should they be able to beat Senegal.
