Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has explained that he is still targeting silverware this season, with an FA Cup and Champions League double on his mind.
The Gunners are fighting for a top four spot this season, but are well off the pace of mounting a title challenge and have lost recent Premier League games to Fulham, Swansea and Manchester United.
However, Arsene Wenger’s men have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, while they are also in the FA Cup with a clash against Aston Villa to look forward to this weekend.
But Arsenal have come in for some criticism and will face a further barrage if they fail to make next season’s Champions League – Van Persie is remaining positive however.
"There are plenty of games still left, we have recovered from reverses like this before and we will win again, so anybody writing us off is making a mistake”, said the Dutchman.
"This could still be a good season for us.
"We have the FA Cup to look forward to and the Champions League.
"We will all be giving 100% to bring one of those trophies home, hopefully both of them.”
