The race for Dutch striker Luc Castaignos is on, and the clock is ticking down to the end of the winter transfer window.

Castaignos is under contract to Inter, the club he joined last summer from Feyenoord.

But life in Italy has not gone swimmingly for the 19-year-old, who has grown frustrated at his lack of first team action with the Nerazzurri, making just four appearances in Serie A this season.

Now the talented Dutchman seems open to offers after refusing to consider a move to Liverpool earlier this month.

And no shortage of sides are looking closely at Castaignos, with Liverpool’s rivals Everton strongly linked, while from Italy Bologna and Cesena are suitors. There has also been some interest from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.

Castaignos could be sold outright, or sent on loan, as he looks for regular first team football.

The forward has been tipped for big things and it was considered quite a coup when Inter won the race for his signature following a series of impressive displays for Feyenoord.
