Belgian coach Eric Gerets is hoping to continue as Morocco coach despite the North Africans failing to qualify for the last eight of the African Cup of Nations.
Gerets saw his chances of leading the Atlas Lions through their group end when Gabon won a tough-fought encounter in Libreville 3-2.
Morocco had earlier lost their opening match against rivals Tunisia.
But despite the disappointment, former Marseille boss Gerets wants to stay.
"If they let me do my job I will continue", said the Belgian.
"It’s not up to me to take a decision, if they are not happy with my performance they will let me know.
"But I think for 15 months there is nobody who has talked about bad performances, bad coach. So it would be a little bit surprising if now from one moment to another it would happen."
