Nancy president Jacques Rousselot has admitted that midfielder Samba Diakite is on his way to English Premier League outfit Queens Park Rangers and explained how the Mali man’s move to Lyon broke down.
Les Gones were well ahead in the race to snap up Diakite from their Ligue 1 rivals, but Rousselot has claimed agents have been behind the turnaround.
"They will pay for a loan with the option to purchase if they are in the Premier League at the end of the season", the Nancy president commented about QPR’s move for the player.
It is quite a change for Diakite, who was expected to end up at the Stade Gerland.
"There was kind of a settling of accounts between agents", said the Nancy chief, explaining the changed destination.
Diakite is expected in London today for his medical with QPR.
