Borussia Dortmund have extended the contracts of coach Jurgen Klopp and sporting director Michael Zorc.

The pair have been credited with putting the Ruhr giants on top of the Bundesliga tree, with Dortmund winning the title last season at a canter.

And the German giants were keen to keep the duo to mastermind more success.

Both Klopp and Zorc were on contracts that were due to expire at the end of 2014, but have agreed to stay on until at least 2016.

The news will be a big boost to Dortmund, who are involved in a three-way tussle with Bayern Munich and Schalke for this season’s Bundesliga crown.

Dortmund saw off Hoffenheim 3-1 at the weekend.
