Arsenal have swooped to complete some business on transfer deadline day by raiding Borussia Dortmund for attacking midfielder Thomas Eisfeld.
Arsene Wenger has shelled out €750,000 to take the 19-year-old to the Emirates, with Eisfeld inking a three-and-a-half-year contract in London.
Eisfeld is a product of Dortmund’s youth academy and was tipped to make a big impression in the game until a cruciate knee ligament injury derailed his progress in 2009.
Despite recovering, the midfielder has struggled to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first team.
He will hope for better luck and a releasing of his potential under Wenger’s watchful eye.
