Manchester United are scouting Nice youngster Diacko Fofana.
Sources in France have confirmed that representatives from the Red Devils have been keeping a close eye on the 17-year-old, who made his Ligue 1 debut against Montpellier on Saturday.
And Fofana, who operates as a right back, but can also play in the centre of defence when called upon, acquitted himself well in the big south coast derby.
Nice coach Rene Marsiglia has demonstrated his belief in Fofana and now looks set to hand him further first team minutes – something which should only increase his value.
Le Gym are not keen on losing the starlet and Manchester United would have to make a compelling offer.
Fofana however, is sure to be flattered by interest from Sir Alex Ferguson’s men.
The right back has spells with several youth academies under his belt and joined Nice in July last year.
