Russian Premier League side Lokomotiv Moscow are eyeing a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur defender Vedran Corluka.
The Croatia international is currently at Euro 2012 with his country’s national team and, intriguingly, is playing under coach Slaven Bilic, who has agreed to take charge of Lokomotiv Moscow after the tournament.
And Bilic would surely be happy to have his countryman land in the Russian capital with him when the showpiece in Poland/Ukraine concludes.
Corluka is under contract with Spurs until 2014, but some indication of his availability came last season, when the English outfit allowed him to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan in January.
Lokomotiv Moscow are thought to be ready to pay Spurs around €6M for the 26-year-old; a figure which may prove tempting for the White Hart Lane club.
What may slow down any deal though is the lack of a manager at Spurs, with Harry Redknapp having recently departed. The Premier League side may be reluctant to sell any players before a new boss is appointed.
