Holland forward Dirk Kuyt is looking forward to his new adventure with Turkish Super Lig outfit Fenerbahce and is ready to revel in being the centre of attention at his unveiling.
Kuyt agreed to leave Liverpool to sign for the Yellow Canaries before travelling to Euro 2012 with the Oranje.
The Dutch had a tough time in Poland/Ukraine, exiting in the group stage, but Fenerbahce will now provide a real pick-me-up for Kuyt.
"We consider the arrival of Dirk Kuyt at our club as the same size coup as when we got Roberto Carlos", said Fenerbahce general manager Hasan Cetinkaya.
"We can be proud that a player of his calibre has chosen Fenerbahce. It will be very busy when we introduce him to the supporters. Yes, I’m talking about thousands of fans who want to see him."
And Cetinkaya’s comments were music to Kuyt’s ears
"See, that makes me feel really good", commented the Dutchman
"You can feel the trust people have in you here. The welcome is really warm. That is just really pleasant to experience.
"The disappointment of the Euros is not erased, but I needed something like this."
