FC Porto president Pinto da Costa has sought to cool talk that the club’s top striker Hulk is on his way to Chelsea.
Speculation that the Brazilian will land at Stamford Bridge is rife and the player himself has admitted that he would relish the opportunity to play for the Champions League winners.
Meanwhile sources in France have indicated that Paris Saint-Germain, another side linked with Hulk, shelved a €53M bid for the 25-year-old’s services after learning his heart is set on Chelsea.
Da Costa is keen to play down talk of an imminent exit for Hulk and has revealed that the Portuguese champions have yet to receive an offer for the powerful goalscorer.
“Up to now no offers have been made to Porto, or to anyone related to Porto, for Hulk.”, Da Costa told Antenna 1.
He also then railed against the constant chatter suggesting that Hulk to Chelsea, or PSG, is a done deal.
“That is the truth, despite what the papers have said about Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
“Those stories are simply rumours. If you believe what they say, Hulk has already left us.”
