South African defender Bongani Khumalo is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer after failing to make an impact at White Hart Lane.

The South Africa international impressed then-Spurs boss Harry Redknapp in the 2010 World Cup held in his homeland and the English outfit agreed a deal to snap up Khumalo in January 2011.

Khumalo cost Spurs £1.5M to sign from Supersport United.

The defender had loan stints at Preston North End and Reading to introduce him to the English game, but he has failed to settle in the country.

And now the player’s agent admits that his is studying where his client can head as he looks to end his spell at White Hart Lane.

"We are looking at various options", Khumalo’s representative Glyn Binkin told South African magazine Kick Off.

"But right now I can’t tell you the names of the clubs.

"We are waiting for something to materialise."
