River Plate have bounced back to the Argentine top flight at the first time of asking.
The famous club were relegated to the Primera B Nacional last season in what was a shock to the entire game in Argentina and deprived the country of the famous River Plate-Boca Juniors derby.
However, the club bossed by 38-year-old former midfielder Matias Almeyda have fought back and booked their spot back in the top tier.
River Plate secured a 2-0 victory over Almirante Brown in the final fixture of the season to secure the second division title.
Both goals were scored by former France international striker David Trezeguet.
River Plate’s relegation last year was the first time the club had played outside the top tier.
