Shanghai Shenhua have continued to strengthen their squad after snapping up Didier Drogba by bringing in Colombian international Giovanni Moreno.

 

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has been signed from Argentine outfit Racing Club.

 

Moreno has inked a two-year deal in Shanghai with the option for another two if both parties are happy.

 

And the presence of Drogba and Nicolas Anelka at the Blue Devil helped to sway the Colombian towards moving to China.

 

"China is a not a market where many people have gone, but there is something about the players in the team that motivates me", admitted Moreno.

 

Moreno has won 15 caps for Colombia, scoring three goals.
