Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier has returned to football as the global sports director for Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg.
Houllier was last employed at English Premier League side Aston Villa, but was forced to quit due to health problems.
Alongside Houllier, Red Bull Salzburg have also announced the appointment of ex-Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick as technical director.
However, Rangnick will work not just as technical director for the Austrian side, but also for another Red Bull owned team, RB Leipzig.
Rangnick will combine his role at both clubs as Red Bull aim to step up the success of their Austrian and German sides.
