Bayern Munich are set to sign Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic from Wolfsburg.
Sources in Germany suggest a fee between the two Bundesliga clubs for the 26-year-old has been agreed and the player’s personal terms at the Allianz Arena will be unlikely to be a problem.
Mandzukic scored three goals at Euro 2012 with Croatia, a feat which saw interest in him skyrocket.
An exit for the striker has been on the cards. Indeed, Wolfsburg signed Dutch forward Bas Dost from Heerenveen earlier this summer in a move which was seen in some quarters as bringing in a replacement for Mandzukic.
The Croatia international joined Wolfsburg in 2010.
