Chelsea and Portugal midfielder Raul Meireles has cooled talk that he could move to Serie A side Napoli this summer.

There has been speculation that the southern Italian side, who will have money to spend if, as expected, the sale of Argentine striker Ezequiel Lavezzi to Paris Saint-Germain goes through, are plotting to make Chelsea an offer for the Portuguese star.

Meireles is currently at Euro 2012 with Portugal and preparing for the competition’s semi-finals stage, where Paulo Bento’s men are due to face Spain this evening.

And so, the former Liverpool man cannot let any transfer chatter distract him.

As such, he has stamped on the speculation.

"I am fully focused on the European Championship and now I think it is not the time to discuss my future", said Meireles.

The midfielder only joined Chelsea last summer from Liverpool, being tempted to Stamford Bridge by then-Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas.
