Spain defender Sergio Ramos is sure La Roja will take no chances with Cristiano Ronaldo and believes they must watch the forward like a hawk.

Ramos and co. will aim to stop Ronaldo tonight when Spain meet Portugal for their Euro 2012 semi-final.

Both sides have reason to approach the game with some optimism, but Portugal’s route to victory only appears possible with a top notch Ronaldo display.

Ramos is well aware of the forward’s abilities, not least because he sees them week in week out at Real Madrid.

And stopping Ronaldo, for the Spaniard, is key.

“Ronaldo is a player who can make the world of difference”, said Ramos.

“He carried Portugal on his shoulders for the last two games.

“He will be very difficult to stop.”
