Lille have offered Barcelona €7M for Dutch attacking midfielder Ibrahim Afellay, according to Catalan television station TV3.
Rudi Garcia’s side have money to spend having banked €40M from selling Eden Hazard to Chelsea earlier this summer and Afellay, who is available for the right price at the Camp Nou, has attracted the French outfit’s attention.
Afellay was sidelined for most of the 2011/12 campaign due to injury and only made four appearances in La Liga for the eventual runners-up.
Despite the fact that the former PSV Eindhoven man has received little chance to show his best, his name has been continually linked with the exit door.
Whether a switch to Ligue 1 will appeal to Afellay is unknown, but the 26-year-old has a number of suitors, with most recently Italian side Lazio said to be keen.
Afellay joined Barcelona in the 2011 January transfer window for a fee of around €3M.
