Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has labelled Andrea Pirlo "the best buy of my career".

Pirlo is currently shining at Euro 2012, where he has powered Italy’s progression into Sunday’s final against Spain.

The 33-year-old took England to pieces with his pinpoint passing in the competition’s quarter-final and was again in sublime form when Italy put Germany to the sword last night, winning 2-1.

Pirlo arrived in Poland/Ukraine off the back of a fine first season at Juventus, where he won the Serie A title and helped the side to go through the campaign unbeaten.

The playmaker had ended a long association with AC Milan last summer.

"Against Germany he was fantastic", said Juventus director general Marotta.

"Players like Pirlo have no price tag – he’s priceless", he added.

"He is a great professional, the most important thing is that next season he will make the difference.

"Pirlo is the best buy of my career."
