Wealthy Anzhi Makhachkala have raided fellow Russian club Kuban Krasnodar for striker Lacina Traore.
The Ivory Coast hitman joined Kuban in February 2011 from Romanian outfit Cluj.
In Russia Traore has enjoyed success, getting amongst the goals regularly and winning a number of admirers, while his tender age of just 22 points to a bright future.
Last season Traore played 39 competitive games for Kuban, scoring an impressive 18 times.
Kuban are disappointed to lose the striker, but well admit they were powerless against the advances of Anzhi Makhachkala.
"We’re seriously disappointed with this because in terms of priorities, selling Traore was at the very bottom of the list", said Kuban sporting director Sergei Doronchenko.
"But the circumstances were such that it became inevitable. The key factors were the proposal submitted and the desire of the player to play for a new team."
