Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Mats Hummels has stamped on speculation that he could be on the move this summer.

Hummels was hugely impressive at Euro 2012 as part of Joachim Low’s side that reached the competition’s semi-final stage, before being dumped out by Italy.

In fact, so impressive was the young stopper, he looks to have permanently cemented a place in the Germany team, possibly at the expense of Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker.

At club level Hummels is a man in demand, with both Barcelona and Juventus having been linked with bids for his services over the last 12 months.

Most recently it was suggested that the latter had even approached Hummels with a view to a move. The defender has quashed talk he could leave Dortmund though.

"Was I approached by Juventus? I have just renewed my contract with Borussia Dortmund", Hummels told Calcio Mercato.

"I have a very long agreement with them.

"So I am absolutely not interested in any rumours circulating about me."

Hummels’ contract at Dortmund runs until 2017.
