Borussia Dortmund have completed their third signing of the summer.

Jurgen Klopp’s Bundesliga champions have snapped Oliver Kirch from relegated outfit Kaiserslautern.

The 29-year-old defender-cum-midfielder has penned a two-year contract with the Ruhr giants and delighted Dortmund in the process.

"Olivier can play in defence and midfield, so he is versatile", said Dortmund technical director Michael Zorc.

"He has lots of experience and an uncommonly positive character", he added.

Kirch started his career at Vreden before joining SC Verl. From there he moved to Borussia Monchengladbach before joining Arminia Bielefeld and finally Kaiserslautern in 2010.

The midfielder is Dortmund’s third signing of the summer after Marco Reus and Leonardo Bittencourt.
