Stuart Pearce has named his Great Britain football team squad for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
As expected, the England Under-21 coach has opted to leave out David Beckham and has instead selected Ryan Giggs, Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards as the group’s three over-23 players.
Other highlights include the selection of Manchester United’s Tom Cleverley and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey in what is a strong midfield unit, while Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge adds power to Pearce’s forward options.
