Didier Deschamps has rejected the opportunity to take over as France coach, according to French radio station RMC.
The former Juventus boss has just left his post as Marseille coach and was instantly propelled to the standing of favourite in the race to replace Laurent Blanc.
Deschamps is even believed to have been sounded out by France Football Federation chief Noel Le Graet over taking charge of Les Bleus.
However, Deschamps is thought to believe that now is not the right time to take charge of France.
Furthermore, he is also believed to be disappointed with the nature of Blanc’s, someone Deschamps counts as a friend, departure after Euro 2012.
Now, unless Deschamps performs a U-turn, France will have to look elsewhere.
